Tours that include Tuscany
Passion chasers and pleasure seekers, we have the destination designed to tantilise every fibre of your being; fine art, glorious wine, a magnificent countryside and luscious cuisine, once you’ve visited Tuscany you’ll never want to leave. Situated on the west coast of Italy, the Tuscan region is one of the most popular destinations in one of the most popular locations in the world.
No trip to Tuscany would be complete without a visit to Florence. Gaze in awe at the magnificence of Michaelangelo’s David at Galleria dell'Accademia delle Bella Arti or view Leonardo da Vinci’s masterpieces at the Leonardo da Vinci Museum.
- Galleria dell'Accademia delle Bella Arti
- Leonardo da Vinci Museum
- Uffizi Gallery
- Leaning Tower of Pisa
- Wine tasting
You’ll also find the most wonderful collection of Renaissance art in the world at the Uffizi Gallery. To the west of Florence (or Firenze as it is known locally) is the province of Pisa, known for its Leaning Tower. Go on, take that photo with you “holding up” the Leaning Tower, and then climb the 300-odd stairs for a 360 degree view of the surrounding countryside.
Once you’ve experienced the grand culture and art of Renaissance Italy, you can head towards the less well travelled regions, find a historic villa or a local B&B to set up camp, and then hire bicycles to tour the countryside. Most of the locals welcome you to watch on as they prepare your evening meal using locally grown produce or you could try out one of the cooking schools dotted around the region.
Wine connoisseurs will be overwhelmed by the variety of wines available in the wine growing areas. Many of the vineyards are open to the public, so find one that looks right for your tastes and then sit and enjoy a ripe red while you soak in the culture that is Tuscany.
